So Stewart & Jones return. Johannes is doubtful and Han is probably done with the WNBA. Why bother bringing back Dolson considering she had career lows in almost every category this season? Find a defensive guard to come off the bench, draft a shooter and fill out the roster with cheap contracts.

I didn’t watch LA much this season but maybe Jasmine Thomas on vet min? I think we have #11 and #17? Te-hina PaoPao is my hope at 11, and maybe Taiyanna Jackson at 17? Sign a vet min post like Achonwa. It can work I think if Stewie is around 216k and JJ at 200k. Could also try to get like Carrera or Fiebich who we have rights to over Achonwa then we can pay JJ a little more, it’s just our bench posts would be inexperienced.
I like it, PaoPao is a lights out shooter with creation playmaking potential, and hopefully more disciplined defense under Dawn. Again didn’t watch JT, but she was so athletic and great defensively. Jackson gives us rebounding and defense that Dolson…lacks.
I love Sandy but also wouldn’t mind a coach swap here. Who? No idea but a better strategic coach please! Plays out of timeouts never seemed creative or amazing from Sandy.

1) Sandy Brondello got brutally outcoached by Becky Hammon in that series.
2) If the Liberty want to compete, they need to get a much better coach, and that means getting someone outside of the WNBA retread factory. Joe Tsai has money and can only spend it in certain areas, one of which is coaching. NBA coaches are clearly looking at the W as a chance to prove themselves as head coaches, and the NBA, as Hammon has shown, has way better coaching than the WNBA.
Their guards can't defend at all. Shoot isn't getting younger. If they are serious, they might want to look at replacing her as the starter with someone like Cloud. They need someone who can defend.
They also need someone who can give some minutes as a backup post.
I don't see them getting rid of Sandy, but her performance was awful. So she should be concerned.

Bringing their starting 5 back could strengthen them. But Kolb needs to address his nonexistent bench now. It's only Thornton and Sabally now plus two draft picks. This team desperately needs a defensive PG and a shooter now that Johannes is out of the picture. And since Dolson is also out (hopefully), they need a legit backup center(Kalani Brown?, trade for E Williams?).

~I also don’t think we fire Sandy. But I hope we add another assistant, someone who can be like an offensive coordinator of sorts.
~I would love a nice vet backup post but not sure we can really afford one. I actually wouldn’t mind taking a swing at former #1 pick Charlie Collier to see if she can backup JJ.
~Dreaming of a S&T of CV for Cloud but don’t see it happening 🥺

First, Charli Collier? ? ? (I guess it's just hard to give up the dream ...)
Second, Jonquel Jones has to wonder if playing for Sandy Brondello makes any sense at all. That panicked huddle at the end, and the poor play call that culminated an entire game of pretty much ignoring Jones, would certainly be incentive to think about playing somewhere else.
And there's not enough money to pay everyone, so would Jones take a pay cut to work for a coach who clearly is overmatched, and also doesn't value Jones' contributions?
Jones may just like playing in Brooklyn. However, Las Vegas could afford to sign Jones if they don't bring back Stokes and Parker. Interesting situation for both teams. If Jonquel goes elsewhere, does Kolb try and bring in Nneka? Bri Jones?Griner? Cambage?

Whats wrong with taking a flier on a 24 year old center with inside out potential? It would be to backup Jonquel Jones, and even then I hope Nyara gets most of the backup 4/5 minute behind JJ and Stewie.
I’m not dreaming of Charli as a #1 draft pick who will reach that type of level. I’m thinking of her as someone who could be a nice fit behind JJ, and potentially learn from her as well.

Stewie and JJ are expensive, I wouldn’t mind Quigley but would prefer a defensive guard like Jasmine Thomas for our vet min contract. And we really can only afford one vet min IF both Stewie and JJ take super max discounts.
I guess if we do get Allie, our FRP could be more defensive oriented like Muhl.

Collier's team in Poland would rather play Dragana Stankovic than her right now in the domestic league where they have to choose to sit one foreign player each game.

Charli Collier just isn't a very good basketball player at the pro level. The Liberty, or anyone, can do significantly better, even for a backup.

That’s fair clayk, but I’m still down to give a former #1, young 24 year old C/F a chance, especially if Alaina Coates is able to make it onto a roster.
It’s the chance at development that I’m okay with for our 10th:11th player, especially since we give most minutes to our starters, and I want most post minutes to go to Stewart, Jones, then Sabally and even Thornton over the other backup posts we might have.

So Han is done with the Liberty, Johannes can't come over next season, Dolson isn't worth the vet minimum and Willoughby isn't worth anything. That's four bench spots available. Two go to our draft picks, and then we should be able to add two cheap contracts somehow. Wouldn't mind a trade for Stephanie Soares from Washington. Would Sandy make a trade for Shaneice Swain from Los Angeles? I'd add I'd like to see Engstler in our camp next season. Also, Destanni Henderson, Amy Atwell, Jasmine Dickey, Arella Guirantes, Lauren Cox all come to mind for training camp players. Maybe Fiebich comes over? Carrera?
