is this the year they all stay healthy? who knows, but the last four seasons have spoken for themselves, for better or worse.
hopefully for the team's sake, DeWanna Bonner doesn't retire like she has apparently been considering and re-signs with the team. (i'd guess she'll re-sign for another year, which is when AT's deal runs out.) maybe she only does one-year deals from now on for that very reason. she's been very consistent and thus very dependable in the four years she's been with the Sun. (hard to believe it's been that long since she played for Phoenix...)
is Hiedeman the answer at PG? cuz it seems like Harris was juuuust starting to usurp her as the playoffs wore on. it will be interesting to see what the team does at the PG spot in the future.
with AT scheduled to be here at least one more year, plus BJones able to be cored for one more year, they may as well do all they can to run it back.
Allen seems like a popular target for fans of a lot of teams, but it is important to note that there is no indication in news of her signing with Valencia that it is a deal that will end before May so she would be banned due to prioritization if she stays there through the semifinals.
Allen became an important player for the Sun when BJones went down. being able to stretch the floor on one end and at times defend the opposing team’s best perimeter player is not to be taken for granted. she could be a big loss if the team can’t re-sign her for one reason or another. at least the free-agent class has a good amount of big-wing types if Allen ultimately doesn't come back.
She ain't wrong. The Sun fan base is filled with UConn fans that hate Notre Dame in general and Diggins in particular. It's not coincidental that they haven't had an Irish player since moving up there.
Diggins-Smith will land on her feet somewhere. i still think the best place for that is Chicago followed by Indiana & Atlanta, but would totally understand Connecticut trying to sign her. not sure they’ll ultimately be able to afford to assuming Bonner re-signs for something fairly high-priced.

The Dream will gladly pass. Tash or Canada are better options. Because they know they are not the number one option or Star of the team.
Sun also could use another backup post. it was a hole for them all season, even before BJones went down. maybe a stretch-4 alongside Nelson-Ododa to complement her.
i wonder what would happen if the Mohegan Tribe were to ever sell the Sun. or would they themselves ever consider moving the team to Boston? especially since they own the venue, probably not – on both points really. feels like they’re the ownership group to outlast all other ownership groups – assuming that’s what they want.
as cool as the Sun playing in Boston is, it does also seem notable as well. whether or not this event was always bound to happen is up for debate.

The tribe did sell their NLL (lacrosse) team in 2021. the New England Blackwolves moved to Albany, NY in 2021. the Blackwolves drew significantly smaller crowds than the Sun.
