i wonder what would happen if the Mohegan Tribe were to ever sell the Sun. or would they themselves ever consider moving the team to Boston? especially since they own the venue, probably not – on both points really. feels like they’re the ownership group to outlast all other ownership groups – assuming that’s what they want.
as cool as the Sun playing in Boston is, it does also seem notable as well. whether or not this event was always bound to happen is up for debate.
The tribe did sell their NLL (lacrosse) team in 2021. the New England Blackwolves moved to Albany, NY in 2021. the Blackwolves drew significantly smaller crowds than the Sun.
hard to say if/when lacrosse will ever take off in this country and gain a sizable following. the W certainly has a bigger one.
I do not understand the vision for the Sun anymore and if I were Bonner, AT, and Jones, I would be concerned about my future of winning there. I don’t believe the moves they made scream we are still trying to contend. It feels like they dropped down a tier.

whole lotta nuffin' they added, but more than some teams have done. (Atlanta & Seattle currently only have ten players apiece, for example.) that Ndour contract still makes me nauseous, i hate that they wanted her that badly considering Chicago straight-up released her rights the day before. 🙃

I think they can only keep 11 though, and while I’m rooting for Jackson she feels redundant with ONO.
Bonner can play some 4, with most post minutes going to AT, Jones and then Ndour and ONO getting the leftovers.
I would say they need another big wing, like Brown or Willoughby, maybe Pueyo shows out or Davis. Unless they’re comfortable with Carrington as backup 3.
If a big gets injured, cut that 11th player and re sign a post like Jackson if nobody picks her up.
