Curious how Morrow and Reese play together. Morrow's three point shot has to come around otherwise that's going to be one crowded paint. Also who is doing the playmaking on this LSU roster? Interesting problems for LSU to solve, but you would rather have all this talent than not have it.

as it appears they are now slated to have 14 on scholarship (one walk-on), my guess is the rotation will look something like this:
PG: Hailey Van Lith / Angelica Velez SG: Flau'jae Johnson / Kateri Poole / Janae Kent SF: Mikaylah Williams / Last-Tear Poa / Emily Ward PF: Aneesah Morrow / Sa'Myah Smith / Alisa Williams C: Angel Reese / Aalyah Del Rosario / Amani Bartlett
if you wanted to see Morrow go to a school where she'd continue to take 3s... well, you really won't like this. however, Morrow's efficiency should go way up, even as i think she'll still be a featured scorer. Mulkey just runs a post-friendly system, so that should help Morrow's post game at least. i think she'll still play some 5 as she did at DePaul – namely so that Reese won't have to. not sure Reese is physically cut out to be at the 5 full-time per se, so that'll be an interesting dynamic. maybe she will be. she... has the game of a true 5, let's just say.
Van Lith taking on the role of point/lead guard for the first time will i think be good for her. that's the one thing i really like about her going to LSU, is for the sake of her pro prospects as someone who will likely have to learn how to be a point guard now in order to succeed later on. an underrated aspect of Mulkey's coaching is that she gets whoever's in that PG spot to distribute effectively (Niya Johnson, Kristy Wallace, Chloe Jackson, DiDi Richards, the list goes on – all of their assist numbers at LSU are fabulous), so i'm hopeful Van Lith is simply next in line. and i think she'll be able to strike a balance on when to create for herself vs. for her teammates. however, i also think Mulkey will task Flau'jae with running point here & there. that could be good for the sake of the team, but hopefully Flau'jae isn't asked to do it too much – or really, asked to be that lead guard. if that's the case, then absolutely none of this imo will have been worth it lmfao. hell, it ain't exactly going great now.
Williams is the #2 overall 2023 prospect, only behind "the future", so i can't imagine her not starting. Del Rosario [another 2023 Top-10 recruit] though is the only true center on the roster, and if she's as good as advertised, she might work better starting. i have no idea if that would automatically force Williams to the bench though, so until Del Rosario forces Mulkey's hand, she'll have to be the one coming off the bench.
not sure i love the Rogers addition for Miss St., cuz Rogers' presence may take away from Park-Lane’s assist numbers. but i just hope Park-Lane against all odds is [re-]taught how to shoot there.
speaking of Miss St… kinda crazy how Anastasia Hayes simply faded into irrelevancy this past season. hope it doesn’t happen to any of these new players of theirs.
The SEC is attracting all the talent now. I hope this improves the quality of offense in the conference rather than "traditional" SEC play dragging the newbies down.
in the age of NIL, it'll be about the schools with the biggest NIL funds & programs set up. so pretty much, any school in the SEC & the Big Ten – and anyone who's on the outside looking in, such as my school, wants in.
Kai Carter entered her name into the transfer portal a few weeks ago. But Rutgers grabbed North Carolina's Destiny Adams and A&M's Mya Petticord. Kassondra Brown and Awa Sidibi are expected to use their COVID eligibility and return for a fifth year.
didn’t even know DeMya Walker had a daughter (maybe i did at the time but forgot), and now she’s old enough to commit to a school 😵💫 where does the goddamn time goooo
Per Raoul Cal WBB grad transfer Evelien Lutje Schipholt (6-2 SR forward, The Hague, Netherlands) is headed to South Florida, who've also landed Auburn transfer forward Romi Levy.
