Washington State is my sleeper pick for the tournament, though it's entirely possible Cal springs an upset in the first round on them. I have a bad feeling this tournament is going to be a defensive grind to the finish.
i mean, even if all the games are ugly, no one can watch these games which aside from the Final are on the P12N so it'd be like they never happened anyway

Hoping they drop the paywall on the P12 website for this. Feel like sometimes I get lucky haha

If you have a VPN, you can watch the Pac-12 on Youtube because they stream their main channel for free for international viewers.
Rogers' main problem would be that at 5-7, she’s more of a 2 than a 1 (and she’s really more of a tweener, at that), and you just don’t see a whole lot of small SGs in the league
having her be a full-time PG, even as her ATO is very good (2.2), wouldn’t be the way to use her either imo
Utah upset by WSU. these fraudster Utes can now kiss that 1 seed good-bye 😘
however, they could still make me eat my words & bounce back big in the Big Dance. that's sort of the nice thing about crashing out early in the conference tourney if you're a good team – you kinda know what not to do when it comes time for the Real Deal
Washington State springs a massive upset of Utah in the quarter finals, 66-58. Charlisse Lager-Walker hit a massive three as the shot clock was expiring with ten seconds to go to secure the win. The key to the win was Ula Motuga's defense on Alissa Pili - Pili only scored 11 points with 3/14 shooting from the field. The post-game interview was a lot of fun on the Pac-12 channel as the entire team crashed the set lol. This is Washington State's first 20 win season since 1979, apparently.
The problem with Utah is that they're a bit soft defensively and Washington State's defense really bamboozled them tonight for some reason. Maybe Issy Palmer really *is* that important to their offense. Utah need a good defensive 4/5 to complement Pili down low - Rees doesn't really cut it.
Pili is listed at 6-2, but admits herself that she's not even 6 feet. the Utes normally run a very smooth 5-out offense, but with that lack of height, it can make a difference on either end of the floor for them depending on matchups and if the shots somehow aren't falling.
