Fever defense is still poor. Allowing New York to easily drop 33 points in a quarter is never good. Clark looking better but Jones is shutting down Boston inside.

The Aces aren't the same without Chelsea Gray. A close game against the Sparks without a known timetable of her returning.

DNP for Berger? I hope to see her in a Valkyrie uni next year. Sides needs to figure out some better rotations. I don’t love them or what’s she’s trying to accomplish with the Fever right now The Fever are a bad team right now, and I don't think it's all on Sides. Adding Clark has changed the offensive equation so that Aliyah Boston and NaLyssa Smith are afterthoughts instead of mainstays. Both are struggling, and as long as they do, so will Indiana. Now maybe Sides is to blame that Boston isn't at the level of Jonquel Jones, and Smith has regressed, and that's certainly possible. It also may be that the two aren't good fits with Clark and Kelsey Mitchell. But regardless, there's no perimeter defense. Maybe if one of Mitchell and Clark are on the court instead of both, Smith and Boston will be more involved. But then you're playing another offensive zero, and defenses can focus on the scorers. This is not a great roster, for sure, and there are mismatched pieces. You can't blame Sides for that, but it's possible a different coach could get more out of the group. But who would that coach be?
