Just like the old ABL, there are consistent rumors that the NWSL papers the house, and the paid attendance is considerably less.
Yeah, I'm curious what the league's attendance looks like in 5 years. Also, if they'll have the same teams in 5 years. Boston may not happen and there's been nothing new regarding additional expansion teams outside of "there's a lot of interested parties".
Without knowing how attendance is counted, and the significant advantage the league would get by inflating numbers, it's hard to take these at face value.
It does appear lots of people are in the stands, but if the league is handing out freebies to every local soccer league, it may not mean much. But if people are paying for all those tickets, then the NWSL franchises are indeed worth what the reported prices say.

Prices for Gotham FC tickets have doubled this year. It seems like Kansas City has nearly sold out there games this season. I'd say Angel City and San Diego have legit numbers, but still likely a decent amount of comps.
