Aari and the #8 pick for Canada? Dream don't have much under contract. I'd assume Gray and Howard are off limits.
We have 8 players under contract currently . Yes. Rhyne and Allisha are the only untouchables. I could see them wanting Haley back as well and a draft pick. To reunite her with Brink.

Interesting that NY is meeting with herā¦.i hope it doesnāt mean thereās a snag with JJ who āintends to returnā to NY. I also donāt see her as someone to take less money. Excited for the 1st to see how things play out!!

I've been doing the math. They can sign Nneka, Stewart & JJ if all three take around $135k each. Dolson appears to be coming back hopefully on a vet minimum only. throw in 3 rookie contracts and it'll work out.

iād like the idea of Nneka joining the Stormā¦ but i was expecting us to continue our rebuild. i want a good lotto pick in 2025. it would take more than signing Nneka to transform us into a contender. the last thing i want is us falling ass-first into a 7th- or 8th-place finish and a substantially worse draft pick than likely #2 or #1 ā but thatās what would happen if we sign Nneka without being able to make more upgrades.
she should only go to New York if she takes a Parker-like paycut and is comfortable coming off the bench. (either that, or bench Sloot and shift almost everyone else down a position lol.)
Atlanta, Chicago, and Phoenix [and Seattle] clearly want an upgrade at PF. i wonder if these are the same teams who have interest in acquiring EDD. (we know Phoenix is one confirmed to be in the running, but they surely aināt the only ones.)

Everybody who was there under Fisher has fled. Three of the five starters from his first season have gone on to win titles elsewhere (Gray, Parker, Williams).
A few days ago, there was some conversation on this thread about Rachel Gallicanās stepping down from her coverage of WNBA free agency. She has an extensive talk with Mitchell Hansen about her reasons for stepping back, as well as about Minnesota Lynx related topics, over at canishoopus.com
P.S.āSpellcheck seems to be changing Rachelās last name into Gallican, which (according to my dictionary) means ārelating to the ancient church of Gaul or France.ā

retaining Clarendon makes sense as a recoup since Canada wants out. i'm guessing the Samuelson sisters will be next.
Alanna Smith is someone i wanted the Storm to go after. not surprised at all she's leaving Chicago, and Minnesota as her landing spot also makes sense to me. she should at least be a good bench piece ā especially if Prioritization keeps Jessica Shepard out considering Shepard and Awak Kuier are on the same team in Italy, and it's theorized that Prioritization which would now affect Kuier as of this year was at least a factor in Kuier deciding to take the summer off.
i could even see Smith challenging JuhƔsz and whoever else may be in the mix by then to be a starter.
the numbers of both Smith's and Clarendon's contracts will be interesting to see once they've officially signed. i foresee them being of middle-value ā not expensive but not cheap either.
