You nearly motivated Correcaminos UAT into a win to get themselves out of last place! "I'm a notable American" screamed Brittany Byrd as she insisted on playing all 40 minutes, dropping 31 points.
Kaila Charles did not respect your publishing schedule as she just joined Monterrey and made her debut. I wonder if agents really think that a case like hers would result in a prioritization-ban for the rest of the WNBA season. Maybe somebody will actually challenge the league to make clear rulings on that.
Also, in performances from players not getting article mentions, Destiny Pitts knocked down 7 3s just over halfway through the 2nd quarter and AJ Alix had 32 points.
The other storyline that has interested me is the number of European-born players that the league has attracted. I am not sure if they are all still currently there, but they had more than the WNBA.
Queretaro signed two more players with Reshanda Gray falling under prioritization and Pinelopi Pavlopoulou flying over right after finishing play with the Greek national team.
Also making their debuts this week are Ilze Jakobsone after her time with the Latvian national team (she played in the league last season) and prioritization-affected Haley Peters and Imani McGee-Stafford. Maybe Imani will put the law degree to use and argue about prioritization being applied to non-contracted players.
Queretaro also announced Evina Westbrook, but they have the bye this round so her debut will have to wait. Since she did not seem inclined to play overseas last year, Mexico probably wants to try to get her to play for them in the Pan American Games later this year.
It looks like the league isn't taking a break for the AmeriCup? Which begins today. Mexico is the host country and I'd assume most of Mexico's team plays in the LNBP.

No break. Some of their players are in the league as well as few players on other national teams, but Mexico also had some players who only played LMBPF or abroad and some college players.
Mexico's top division men's soccer league did successfully implement a restriction against dual nationals who were no longer eligible to play for Mexico's national team so assuming the league has rules about this, there is probably nothing that Queretaro can do. It certainly looks pretty stupid though since the league itself publicized her signing. Raina Perez is the most prominent, but there are other dual-national Mexicans playing there and the league does seem to treat them as foreign players. The league certainly already allows tons of foreigners per team. They just posted a graphic of their best performing local players and the second-highest scorer listed checks in at 5 points per game.
The league fired back and said that the team had not finished submitting paperwork. Fans of Queretaro doubt this since Evina's brother has apparently already played in the men's league as Mexican and thus they should already have the right paperwork.
i personally will not be giving the league the benefit of the doubt here. if the league truly didn't mind her signing with that team, all parties would find a way towards resolution. they look bush league in my eyes by being this much of a hinderance.
