Michigan-North Carolina is a good example of why I find it really hard to watch college games at times. Michigan had a blistering first quarter (35 points) and then proceed to score 41 points imn the next three quarters. Fortunately for them, North Carolina never really get it going on offense and Michigan end up winning by 8 points. After the first quarter, the game was a grind.
The point guard matchup was probably the key difference in the game. Leigha Brown (who isn't really a point guard) had 25 pts/8 reb/4 ast for Michigan while Deja Kelly for UNC had 15 pts/5 ast but went 2/13 from the field. Brown should get a WNBA training camp invite next year but I wouldn't expect much beyond that. Kelly's scoring inefficiency will be her downfall at the pro level - she needs to improve that.
Leigha Brown got Ted up during the game for jawing at the ref (amusing) but I find the college penalty for technical fouls (2 free throws *and* possession) overkill.
EDIT: Thinking about it more, Brown may get drafted in the second or third round but still think she is a marginal WNBA prospect.

1000% agree. Cuz holy crap, the difference in quality of play between even good wcbb teams and even bad WNBA teams is massive. It is staggering that it isn’t talked about/noticed more.
It is hard to watch, sometimes. Offensive talent is the most entertaining and rarest talent available in the women's game. There are plenty of athletic defenders who can make skill disappear, but for reasons I won't repeat, those athletes seldom have all-around offensive games.
I generally watch the Pac teams when I can but otherwise ... UConn is always fun but even South Carolina isn't that exciting, despite being very good.
There's a difference between building a winning team and building an entertaining team, and the SEC winning model of getting a bunch of athletes, defending like crazy and pounding the boards is effective but not necessarily fun to watch.
Yeah, South Carolina is the perfect example of effective but ugly basketball. It's especially bad when South Carolina players are repeatedly passing up or bricking open looks from the perimeter while Boston is being doubled and tripled in the paint. Can't wait to see Boston in a pro offense.
