Apparently the WNBL Grand Final series is on ESPN Player around the world *except* North America where it's on Unbeaten (via Amazon Freevee, Prime Video, Fubo TV, Plex, DAZN, STIRR, Vizio Watchfree and Local Now) and on beIN Sport. Strange. Fortunately you can just watch it on FIBA's Youtube channel.
It was a very exciting game 3 but the most interesting thing from a WNBA scouting perspective is how 18 year old Nyadiew Puoch shut down Tiffany Mitchell for large portions of the game. It won the game for Southside, arguably. Puoch is a 6’1 wing with a BIG wingspan (I wish I knew how big it was!) and she’s shown herself to be a very good defender in her WNBL rookie season. Her offense is a lot rawer but she’s shown the ability to get to the rim, make transition plays and spot up from three at various points throughout the season and there’s enough there to make her an intriguing 2024 WNBA draft prospect.

I wasn't able to watch Game 3, but when I watched Game 2, she stood out to me for someone who will have a lot of potential. I agree will everything you wrote about her. Offense needs to grow, but defensively I was super impressed.

I was disappointed with the championship series TBQH. Southside were only competitive for three out of eight quarters, which isn't very good. They were doing well in Game 2 until about seven minutes left in the game where their offense disappeared and Townsville steamrolled them. Oh well, congrats to Townsville. They won 16 consecutive games to finish the season and their coaching and talent depth was top notch.
