"To be honest with you, I went into the draft thinking Moriah Jefferson might be the second-best player in it," Hughes said. "All her senior year did was reinforce the concept. It's one thing to be the second-best player in the draft, but then it comes down to how [her talent] is going to translate into the WNBA. In watching her development, I thought that it would transfer very successfully."
