We can pretty much all agree Boston will be drafted #1 overall.
So who do y’all think is the #2 overall prospect behind Boston? I say Diamond Miller, assuming she stays healthy this year. (I don’t see Bueckers entering early, fwiw.)
And who do y’all think is the #2 post prospect behind Boston? I used to think Ayoka Lee, but I actually like Elizabeth Kitley a bit more now having seen her monster performance in the past NCAA Tourney.
Only got Joens going #2 because Thibault appears to have her fairly high. But if certain players up their draft stock, I can see him taking Miller or Jones.
She doesn't shoot threes and from very limited viewing, she scores close to the basket over smaller players. Yet, at 6-6, she shot just 56.3% from the field for a 20-13 team.
There might be a place for her in the WNBA, but is she really a difference maker?
Sounds like Shakira Austin numbers from Ole Miss
Lee gives me more McCowan vibes than anything, and McCowan to her credit is still something of an impact player at this level.

Hmmmm I don’t see Ayoka as the most talented at this point….but I see her similarly to McCowan, a big body who can finish inside and rebound and alter shots on defense.
I said this a while back, I can see a little Cambage in her based off highlights- I think there was a few midrange jumpers that looked good to me. If she can develop that further that would be a huge boost of course.
Be kind to yourself, the way you expect others to be kind to you.

My current mock:
1. Indiana- Aliyah Boston 6’5 2. Atlanta- Haley Jones 6’1 3. Washington via Los Angeles- Diamond Miller 6’3 4. Minnesota- Ayoka Lee 6’6 5. Chicago via Phoenix- Ashley Owusu 6’0 6. New York- Elizabeth Kitley 6’6 7. Indiana via Dallas- Aijha Blackwell 6’0 8. Atlanta via Washington- Ashley Joens 6’0 9. Seattle- Rickea Jackson 6’2 10. Connecticut- Dre’una Edwards 6’2 11. Dallas via Chicago- Jordan Horston 6’2 12. Minnesota via Las Vegas- Zia Cooke 5’9
Other first/second round prospects: Tamari Key 6’6, Taylor Jones 6’4, Mackenzie Holmes 6’3, Maddy Siegrist 6’1, Abby Meyers 6’0, Dyaisha Fair 5’5
Classic "coaches kid", her dad played at Wake Forest & overseas a few years. Whoever gets her should be set at the 5 for a decade or more. VT has Owusu
& Taylor Soule coming in, can't wait to see how that all shakes out!
Gotta love it when I post the first mock draft (on Twitter) and the amount of people that get infuriated with certain picks. These also tend to be the same people that never release their own mocks.

Part of the reason why I’ve “quiet quit” rebs to some extent. Reached a point where it felt like anything I put out either gave way to zero responses or to unexpected criticism out of left field, but never just plain ole discussion. (At least people on Twitter are mostly just a bunch of randos. I did expect better from an actual messaging board ‘community.’)
…But enough about me being butthurt. 😅 I don’t see anything with your mock that even remotely warrants any backlash, toad455. I genuinely think all the picks make sense – especially in the first round, which is the only place that the unserious casuals care about anyway; I’m not convinced all of them (can) read.

The thing that hurts Haley Jones the most (aside from her lack of outside shooting) is that she went to Stanford. Stanford guards don’t typically make good WNBA players. The last one was Wiggins in 2008.

As a former #1 overall high school prospect, what Haley Jones does have that some of those other Stanford guards didn't includes good size, great athleticism, and potentially high upside. I honestly think she'll be fine, whether she's picked in the Lottery or outside of it.

Oh absolutely - I'm with you. I have my eye on her depending on where we fall in the lottery. I find her very intriguing. But also do I want another "3" player lmao
