Dallas is still the favorite since they win any tiebreaker that involves the Mystics

do either of these teams have a chance against whoever the #5 seed is? I think the Mystics caught the Sparks on an off night. Really depends how the Sky look against the Wings.

In one game, pretty much anything can happen at this level ...

The Mercury get to play the Storm tonight, possibly without Bird and Stewart. Mercury and Lynx went 1-1 in their series, so not sure who holds the tirebreaker. Lynx play Indiana tomorrow night. Either way, I don't see the #8 seed getting by either Phoenix or Minnesota.

Either way, I don't see the #8 seed getting by either Phoenix or Minnesota. Minnesota's on a 3-game losing streak and Phoenix is still quite depleted no matter how you look at it. If Washington gets it, I wouldn't put it past them to at least make their first-round game close, given Thibault's coaching ability and the players they can currently lean on playing well. Maybe they'd even find a way to win. I went with the Mystics for this poll here. Storm shouldn't lose to the Merc even if Stewart and Bird are out, given the entirety of the 2019 season (keyword: shouldn't). Canada may still be playing a bit hurt, but we certainly have better bench depth to lean on than last season.

Despite missing so many players Thibault is making something work with who he has.

Dc would seem like the team with the best chance at pulling an upset. Emma is the best player between Dallas, Atlanta and DC, and we know that she can step it up in the playoffs. Phoenix would be the worst opponent to face for any one of these 3 teams, despite everything. I think it probably ends up being Dallas though. Atlanta would be stupid to mess up their chances for a decent lottery pick, albeit in a weak draft.
