I want Stewie to win but if Alyssa wins I’ll be happy with that
Stewie doesn’t deserve to win and if she does the award is rigged and a joke. Nothing special about what she did this season. Meanwhile A’ja was amazing, and AT had a million triple doubles.
Twenty years ago, I would have added something about the advantage of being white, but I'm really not sure that comes into play as much now, given who votes and the changing social climate. But that still might be a factor as well ...
Wow 7 points between her and AT! Congrats Stewie…..I think three players were each well deserving to be crowned this season.
Only player who truly deserved it was A’ja she was phenomenal all season long. With AT a distant second. Stewie did not deserve it. Didn’t do anything special. Also she’s been pretty terrible for close to two months now. And people have been quiet. Let that have been A’ja and AT stinking it up like she has been and the reaction and slander would be loud.

I agree in the sense that A’ja is my first choice, AT second and Stewie third.
But that said I think they each deserve to be league ‘MVP’. That’s the problem though right, it’s not clearly defined what MVP is and there’s subjectivity. One voter thinks Chelsea Gray is MVP over A’ja. How do we determine what is more ‘valuable’? Is the player who hits more clutch shots more valuable, or the one who scored more and put you in position to win the game and let the other player hit that clutch shot?
I stand by what I said, they each deserve to be MVP imo….cuz in my mind an argument can be made each of them is the best player in the league and are on winning/dominant teams in the regular season.
Be kind to yourself, the way you expect others to be kind to you.
this is a frontcourt-oriented league, plain & simple; naturally, i've got no problem with the First Team's composition.
the Second Team seems to be more controversial in general. they put the two best teams' guards on there, along with the clear-cut best players from the worst teams. what then of the very good players on the good/decent teams? Ogwumike [who did have a great individual season] and Loyd [who scored at a historic rate, but on very blah percentages] could've been swapped out by any of the following: Plum, Copper, AGray, NHoward, Bonner, Sykes, CheyParker...
i wonder if they'll ever consider installing a Third Team, especially when the league expands beyond 12 teams. not to become someone who advocates for giving out awards generously, but...

For the sake of comparison, the NBA didn't add a third all-league squad until they had 25 teams
