AD showed their value last season and was a nice surprise to see them do well with Atlanta. I hope AD gets another year with the Dream.
Not really. Also Kristy Wallace is a far superior player and she’s not a traffic cone on defense like AD is either. If we’re drafting a Guard/Wing someone will have to go. And it won’t be Kristy.
Agree about AD being a defensive liability. Saw that with the Liberty during their limited playing time. But offensively AD's game had glimpses of what we saw during their rookie season. Dream can easily afford to carry AD's contract for 2023.

While it’s true AD needs to be able to stay healthy, they absolutely did show value when they were on the court – 10 PPG on 42% FG (45% 3PT) sure ain’t nothing. I completely understand why you’d want to give up on AD, but to say they didn’t really show much value is inaccurate imo. Their performance did dictate value – the value will diminish moving forward if they continue to struggle with injuries, but for now, the value of a guard off the bench who can routinely get some buckets is clearly there.
And I think there’s enough room on this roster to accommodate both AD and Wallace on this roster, especially if Wallace is used more as a PG moving forward.

There isn’t especially if we draft another guard at 3. Who will either start or get big mins.
The main point is the Dream need to improve the roster, outside of injuries. Rhyne and Cheyenne were the only consistent and healthy offensive threats for us all season long. And they both need better talent next to them. To make their jobs easier. And again we need a better PG. especially one who can facilitate.

Tiffany Hayes suffered yet another serious injury to her ankle/foot today overseas. Coupled with her age and inability to stay healthy it’s past time for the Dream to go in a different direction. I would go all in on Allisha Gray as long as it’s a reasonable package.
I don't think anybody wants to trade for an injured Hayes' rights lol. At least not this year. You definitely want to see how she would do after recovering from injury given her age.
The injury does screw over Atlanta in forcing them to keep her on their roster. So if they can't buy her out, Dream are probably stuck with an 11-woman roster.

She's not under contract. If she doesn't sign a contract with Atlanta this year, she'll be treated like Cazorla ie not on the roster.
Kristy would be ahead of AD too. Simply for the fact she’s a much better defender than AD is. I love Cheyenne I really do… But Cheyenne needs to be back at PF. She’s just not fast or athletic enough for most at center. We don’t really need to resign or waste any money on Billings. She’s just not that good and Naz does everything she does. With more potential and is younger. We need a Center who can defend and rebound decent enough.

Can Atlanta call in Kalani Brown? Has she been playing overseas anywhere?
She has. But can she stay in shape long enough though? That is her problem. Not her talent. Even Coach Nicki mentioned it in an interview before she abandoned us of course.

She's playing in Israel. Brown brings size, but I don't know if she brings anything else WNBA-level to the table. Atlanta had a pretty good look at her and didn't keep her on so I don't see her returning there.
