You don’t have to worry about Curt Miller having relations with a player, at least. 🙃
Now that the Sparks have moved on from Toler and Fisher for good, I wonder if hiring Miller will help bring back Candace Parker. I can’t see the Sparks not trying to bring her back if she’s not gonna retire – not that that’s been decided yet. They certainly have the cap space to bring Parker back and still re-sign the Ogwumikes. (I have a feeling they’ll overpay for Chiney, but that’s just me.)
Surely they’ll go after anyone of the highest caliber. But not everyone has the sentimentality Parker may possess for this franchise that could make her naturally more gettable.
I'm puzzled. Are they saying that RSTAR is an agency owned and run by Angel, or are saying that the Agency will represents Angel is cutting ties with Carter? If the latter - unless Angel is their only client, I don't really see why bothered to mention at all.*
*Edit - I find that Angel signed with RSTAR, so she doesn't own. Still don't quite see why it matters who is represented by RSTAR though.
As sad as I am about Carter still being a touchy subject (to put it politely), it does make me happy that the Dream were able to get value for her in the trade. The Dream lose that trade when Carter gets it together, but they win that trade the longer Carter's a mess. 🙃
No one wanted her last season… I can’t assume that changed at all since. Can’t wait to see what happened this time!
She's young and cheap, so a team with cap issues may deal for her if Miller wants her out and go with Canada and Brown at PG. With so many free agents out there this off-season, I curious where Carter may land.
It's sad more than anything else. For whatever reason, Chennedy Carter cannot get along with people, which will not work in a team sport. She's a tremendous athlete and on the court, a very good player, but it seems pretty clear she should have played tennis or golf where it was just her.
Since youth sports, she's been a problem for coaches and teammates, and despite her enormous talent, the problems she causes outweigh the talent she possesses. Unless the light dawns suddenly and brightly, it's hard to see her staying in the league.
I think it comes down to who is desperate and who has a really big ego and thinks they can fix Carter? Bibb? He's got the ego, but their new coach might disagree.
Reeve could definitely use her, but Reeve is claimed to have a "no knuckleheads" rule. Maybe the Mercury will think Taurasi can put Carter in her place if she gets out of hand.

There's no way Carter and Arike could be on the floor together
