The lottery is Friday, December 4th. Will be revealed at halftime of DePaul-Louisville.
I am glad they are finally getting around to it, but the placement of it in a college games seems a bit odd. Why not just put on Sport Center or some program related to pro ball? But it is only 3 days away, so I'm happy about it.
With a cumulative record of 12-44, the Liberty will have the most chances to land the top pick (442 out of 1,000) and are guaranteed at least the third pick. New York won the Lottery in advance of the 2020 WNBA Draft and used the top pick to select Sabrina Ionescu in April 2020.
Atlanta, which posted a combined record of 15-41, will have 276 chances out of 1,000 to win the top pick. Dallas, which registered a two-year record of 18-38, has the third-most chances (178). Indiana has 104 chances by virtue of its 19-37 record over the past two regular seasons.

I'm a huge Phoenix Mercury fan here. The team will select at 6th overall in the 2021 WNBA Draft. Who do they need to draft? Or are there any chances to trade during the FA period?

Phoenix needs depth. Do they bring back Vaughn? What's Griner's status? A reliable backup PG would help(Dana Evans? Mangakahia?)

I am hoping for the Mercury to draft Evans if they don't trade the pick. Otherwise if they trade the 6th pick I'm going to be pissed
Very excited to react to the Lottery on Friday. Hoping New York wins it. Hard to say which team needs it the most without a clear consensus #1, but if Charli Collier ends up having her best year (she has started out red hot thus far) and declares as expected to become the consensus #1, I think New York needs her the most out of all the lottery teams (though Dallas isn't far behind at this point – New York better put together a solid back-up plan if they end up picking behind Dallas).
Still, I'd say this year is very prone to seeing lottery teams trade away their picks. A) It's a weak draft. B) It's due to feature the same lottery teams as last year so I'm guessing these teams are getting tired of picking there. And C) generally speaking, this year's lottery teams are the most cap-flexible teams as it stands now, so other teams could be interested in trading a veteran contract or two away for some added flexibility. Like last year's free agency period, this coming one should be highly active with lots of player movement.

I wish there were more national TV games, but nonetheless exciting the college season has started. It seems there’s been plenty of postponed/cancelled games (I haven’t looked into why). I hope COVID doesn’t hit too hard.
Collier please declare and keep up this play and lets get ready to rock in Brooklyn 😉

Liberty fans are hopeful she enters early. Otherwise we could get Natasha Mack or the Finish player.
But how much value does that pick have? It's a pretty dismal draft, so why would a team give up a veteran who can help for a rookie who likely can't? Maybe the salary cap could come into play, but that's about the only hope for any kind of deal.
