Well that game was disappointing. Don't know if the Lynx are that much above everyone else or the Mercury - who just knocked off the Fever and the Liberty in away games - just match up poorly with them.

The Lynx are not going to lose many games if teams want to get into a shootout with them.
The Merc are extremely good on offense, but their defense has been poor this season. While they played a little better defensively against the Libs, the game against Indy wasn't all that great. They continually left shooters wide open, but they just couldn't hit those shots.
The Lynx didn't miss.
On the other end the Lynx didn't play great defense for much of the game, but they did during a couple stretches. It was during those stretches that they pulled away and made it a blowout.
I think that is what gives the Lynx the advantage here. They are able to play and win different types of games. If they are hitting shots and being left open they can just outscore their opponents. If they aren't, they are able to lockdown on the defensive end and grind it out.
