i’m sure the Libbies didn’t love losing to the Mystics in their home finale. with the loss, one that all the rotation players played in, there should be a renewed focus to take care of business.
i would say the Liberty’s defense is what will be the death of them, but it’s just as likely that their turnovers/sloppiness on offense could kill them.
New York has the deepest and most balanced team in the league. A lot of weapons, and they play hard.
Ironically, HerHoopStats just had an article on what a clutch shooter Breanna Stewart is in postseason. But imagine if she makes a third of her shots? Or Myisha Hines-Allen returns to reality?
It would seem unlikely that NY or LV will lose a game before they play each other ...
New York still can’t start to think they have this series in the bag. Washington's and all these other lower seeds' backs will be against the wall for Game 2, so i think we’ll see more competitive games across the board. not sure it results in any different results, but it certainly could.

Stewart as our 5th worst starter last night and we won by 15. I think it's just Washington's defense locking her down. In the finale, Stewart was 4-17. The three previous games she was 9-16, 14-25, 10-22. Jones produced 20/12 and Laney & Sabrina held it down on the scoring side. Laney was also crucial defensively and helping crash the boards. Let's get the brooms out on Tuesday!
i think they should seriously consider resting Sloot for all of Game 2 and see if they can wrap up the series at home without her. i know they need to focus on surviving & advancing above all else, but you also don’t want her leg to get even more tweaked in a playoff game environment.
