i think this’ll be a better game than maybe some are expecting
Pretty much a toss up in my eyes.
It's wild because had Iowa loss to South Carolina, I really wouldn't have been disappointed. Just tip your hats to the undefeated team. But now that we are *so close* to an actual championship -- something I truly never thought possible -- I personally will feel more disappointment.
I saw a study that suggested Olympic bronze medalists are often happier than Olympic silver medalists. Bronze just happy to be on the podium while silver obsessed with being so close to gold yet coming up short.
Nobody is going to leave Alexis Morris wide open like they did Raven Johnson (who eventually made some open threes) but if I'm the opposition, I'd happily prefer to see her take threes (contested!) than have her drive the lane. Play the percentages.

This!
I'd also point out that Iowa is just one of DOZENS of teams this season who have sagged way off South Carolina's guards... but suddenly it's disrespectful when it actually results in a W.
I don't think LSU has anyone capable of defending Clark. Iowa win.
no wcbb player right now can defend Clark one-on-one. period.
that said, if Mulkey has them double her at the right times, or even if she just happens to have an off night shooting, things can absolutely turn south for Iowa.
and conversely for Iowa, there’s no one on the team who i think can effectively guard Reese.
