Jade Loville joins LaDazhia Williams on St. Louis in the GWBA. Apparently Khaalia Hillsman was set to play for Flint before her WNBA signing. Sustaining a league is hard, but they definitely need to keep finding new teams that can work. The two I mentioned and Wisconsin all seem to be functioning, but the new team in Kansas City is playing mostly on the road early as they secure a home gym and they were doing old-fashioned fundraising in addition to trying to sell sponsorships and earning money from fans.
Also, I realized I was forgetting other camp cuts, so I went through the whole list. Feyonda Fitzgerald has also been playing in Mexico.
awhom111 are there complete rosters available for Mexico's league? Their website is hard to dig through. At least of the US players playing there.
They have everything that their stats template usually has, but do not label any of it on the website so it is difficult to find if you do not know where to look:
The latest player subject to Prioritization to sign there is Alexis Prince, who also played in Mexico last season.
This league in some ways could function as the development league that people are asking for since it runs at the same time as the WNBA and could have the same or more teams by next year. I do wonder if the people in the league would be willing to have any formal relationship as they probably feel a little bit threatened by the NBA's agenda for the country on the men's side.
No longer a free agent: Amber Holt after she appeared in a WABA game. I mean it has been over a decade, but you never know how many hardship players need to be off the market before a team calls Alexis Morris.
I realize that I am probably the only person who is actually tracking these, but it would be fun if the league sent her a letter letting her know that she is now ineligible to sign. That would be cool to frame.

had no idea Holt was still playing… she’s played for multiple W teams but i do think of her as a lost Tulsa Shock relic (any & all of which can ultimately stay buried…)
The WABA is a semipro league where players, more or less, get paid per game. There's a rotating door if teams and schedules are so inconsistent. Almost anyone with $10k and a gym can put up a team. So I'm surprised Holt is playing there and not in Mexico currently.

Tell me about it. She actually avoided being banned for another week because their opponents for the first game forfeited. I was not even sure that we would find out that she played because we are lucky to get any kind of stats for one team per game.
It does not look like she has played anywhere other than this type of league in five years so she probably just has a regular job and is trying to stay in shape. There are probably other players subject to prioritization who are just playing in even less organized leagues so there is no way to track them.
Erlana Larkins also managed to get into a documented WABA game so she is also no longer a free agent this season. She is also apparently the team's head coach so we will see if she argues with herself about playing time. Overseas has not been an option for her for some time after she no-showed a gig in Greece and would have to pay the club a fairly large sum of money to be eligible for a FIBA transfer away from USA Basketball.
jesus, i had no idea she was even just sorta playing. same with a name like Shay Murphy. this has apparently become a whole “Where are they now?”-type of year…

She was slow and hobbled during her last two years in the WNBA. She does not look at all in playing shape. Wonder why she opted to play in the semi-pro WABA?
And then there's Danielle Adams looking bigger than ever in the LNBP.

Well, she's coaching in the league in hopes that she can get a college assistant coaching gig, but given that she does not have one yet even with the added positions this season and her couple of seasons of experience and a pretty long WNBA career, it seems like it might not happen.
I think the playing part is just them needing players as they only had six other players besides her in the boxscore. They lost Akela Maize to Puerto Rico and maybe other players are getting ready to move elsewhere. It really makes you wonder about the scheduling of the league as both the GWBA and WPBA finished this past weekend.
