LA, Indiana, Dallas, and now a surprise vacancy in Connecticut. Galligan’s on her way to being right about 6 teams changing coaches after today. Really would like to see those other two teams make a move now lol

Doesn’t necessarily mean anything, just kinda noticed it. Things getting more cutthroat? Idk
New York exiled to Westchester for two years followed by a wubble year really hurt the fan base and development. But the second half of 2022 showed what this franchise can do and showed fans have welcomed them back, too. Liberty will likely be one of a few teams to return the majority of their roster in 2023, which will be a major stepping stone for the franchise.
What's surprising to me is that Indiana has not relocated to a better market. It's a red state in a blue-state league, and it would seem the WNBA leadership would be doing all it could to land the Fever in the Bay Area or Portland, just to name two.
Nothing would be lost with the move, as there is no GM, no coach and not even a front office selling season tickets.
But the WNBA seems powerless to make something happen -- one would think that $75 million they got could move the needle.
The Fever were a viable franchise when they were winning. With all the trouble the WNBA has had finding new owners it's hard to see them trying to push one out who's had a team for 20 years.
The League better be stepping in if the Fever still aren't selling season tickets this season now that the Bankers Life Fieldhouse remodel is finished and the team won't be arena nomads anymore.
They honestly should've stepped in the past couple years, with how dismal things were both on the court and in the stands. It really is a terrible look for the League to have one team so blatantly carrying on such a substandard existence.
I would think any of the six potential expansion groups being reported would prefer buying the Fever as it would likely be cheaper. It's stunning they haven't announced season ticket sales for 2023. At this point, I'd assume we would have heard something if they're relocating. All-in-all, an odd situation.
