It seems as if whoever came up with this mock has been reading some of the posts on Rebkell, where certain posters have suggested that L.A. should draft Rickea Jackson at 2 in order to keep her away from Chicago with the plan to then take either Brink or Cardoso at 4, whoever is left after Chicago picks.
They're dribbling them out one at a time on social media
Davis? Muhl? Kitley? I think they are setting quite a few players up. If Puoch is coming to the draft she must be getting out of her deal and coming over this year.
Like other recent mocks, Powell's mock has Cardoso moving up to the third spot and Rickea Jackson falling; however, this time Jackson falls entirely out of the lottery to Dallas at 5. Powell identifies Carla Leite, not Leila Lacan, as the French PG who goes in the first round (possibly because Leite has said that she wants to play in the WNBA), with Muhl going at 9 to Dallas, and with Marquesha Davis, the surprise entrant on the invite list, going to New York at 11. (Powell says that one WNBA talent evaluator has compared Davis's skill set to that of Kahleah Copper, though in a slightly shorter package.)
It has Clark, Brink, Jackson, and Cardoso has the first four picks, with Dallas taking Edwards and Washington passing on Sheldon in favor of Isobel Borlase. Surprisingly, the Lynx then pass on Sheldon themselves in favor of Angel Reese.

I don’t get the Fair hype. She scored a lot of points. But she is incredibly inefficient, not a good passer. And is also NOT a PG. They only call her one because she’s 5”5. She will never have the same freedom in that league that she did in college to just chuck it up. Not a first round talent imo.
He has Rickea Jackson going 3rd and Cardoso 4th, but for some unknown reason has Dallas taking their deferral pick early (at pick 5) to grab a player, French PG Carla Leite, who really should be available later. That leads to Washington taking Sheldon and Minnesota Edwards, with Reese and Muhl going immediately thereafter. In his opinion, Dallas will load up on PGs with both Leite and Muhl. Leila Lacan rounds out the first round, being taken by Atlanta with pick 12, and Marquesha Davis hears her name called to open the second, heading off to Chicago.

Every Mock Draft gets worse. Monday can’t come soon enough.

The part I like about the Yahoo draft is that the Aces apparently convince Izzy Borlase to change her last name to Borlace. We have some college NIL deals based on the player's actual name so maybe somebody will get paid to change their name at some point.
Overall, Jacy Sheldon is an incredibly high-floor player, with the upside to become a starter for a contending team. I expect her to be available when Dallas picks at number five; she would be a no-brainer, slam-dunk selection at that slot.
Not too surprisingly, Jacy Sheldon is spoken of as a potential target for all three teams, Dallas, Washington and Minnesota. Much more surprisingly, Nika Muhl is spoken of as a potential target for both Dallas and Minnesota, though the author of the Dallas piece mentions that "some" would see her as a reach.
I just have trouble seeing Sheldon as a WNBA starter.
She doesn't appear to be athletic enough to be an above-average defender, and doesn't appear strong enough to handle WNBA defenders (who will force her right). She shoots OK, but didn't do well against Maryland and Duke in the tournament, so I wonder if she fattens her stats against weaker teams. Maybe not, as she did fine against Iowa in a 10-point loss, but still ...
She's clearly a wing, so she will have to shoot it to survive, and figure out a way to guard.
Could be wrong, but I see her as a nice reserve and not much more.
